Our Blueridge Bluegrass Ryegrass Sod Non-Netted is a blend of 80% Kentucky Bluegrass and 20% Perennial Ryegrass on a sandy loam base, allowing better drainage and ideal for the moderate climate of California. Bluegrass Ryegrass Sod is a dense, lush sod that keeps its green color year-round when properly maintained. These two kinds of grass work well together by cross rooting, building a healthy rooting system. The Ryegrass mixture gives it durability and better resistance to disease. It is perfect for areas with foot traffic, such as a sports area or lawn for play. Blueridge is a grass that does very well in cool-season climates. Prefers full sun, but will tolerate moderate shade areas. Our Blueridge Bluegrass Ryegrass Sod Non-Netted also has a soft texture and slow-growing pattern, allowing for both enjoyment (especially for little ones!) and lower maintenance year-round. Bluegrass and Ryegrass are both cool-season lawns and provide a Beautiful green all year round. Our sod delivery time for Blueridge Blue rye sod is between 2-3 days advance notice.

Blueridge Bluegrass Ryegrass Sod Non-Netted Watering Information

Generally, lawns tend to be over-watered, but with our Non-Netted Blueridge Blue Rye sod, you have a better chance of not overwatering due to the sandy base. At Sod and Seed, Inc. we have personally tested this sod to confidently ensure the best quality possible. Specifically, stress-tested this sod by leaving it rolled up for three days after delivery, and within a month, the grass was green and healthy again with regular watering. Please note, that we recommend same-day installation for regular deliveries and do not encourage sod to be left rolled for more than 24 hours after it is delivered. This blend will best tolerate light to medium foot traffic but also repairs itself by over-seeding whenever it is stressed.

Our Blueridge Bluegrass Ryegrass sod Non-Netted repairs itself by seeding over whenever it is mowed. When mowed, the grass is stressed (in a good way!) and will spread a little of its seed each time. These interactions between mowing and seeding help the lawn to continually grow and stay healthy.
